Privacy policy
Personal data processing policy · In force since October 11, 2026
This is an English translation for convenience. If there is any discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
This policy is adopted under Colombian Statutory Law 1581 of 2012, Decree 1377 of 2013 (now part of Single Decree 1074 of 2015) and Article 15 of the Political Constitution of Colombia (right of habeas data).
1. Data controller
| Controller | Miguelina Rodríguez, individual |
|---|---|
| Address | Bogotá D.C., Colombia |
| Email to exercise your rights | rodriguezmiguelina12@gmail.com |
| Phone / WhatsApp | +57 321 417 9642 |
| Website | https://miguelinarodriguez.com |
2. What data is processed and how it is collected
This website has no forms, requires no registration and uses no analytics or advertising cookies. Personal data only reaches the controller in these ways:
- When you write on your own initiative by email, WhatsApp or Instagram. We process the data you choose to share: name, email, phone number, social media handle, the content of your message and details about your project or business.
- Technical server logs. Like any website, the hosting provider automatically keeps technical data about each visit: IP address, date and time, requested page, browser and operating system. This is used only for security, abuse prevention and error diagnosis. It is not used for profiling.
- Clients with access to the private area (creative panel). To provide the service, we process the user's name, email and encrypted password, and the work content shared in the tool (texts, images, publishing calendar and comments).
We do not collect sensitive data or data from children or teenagers. If you are a minor, please do not send personal data without your legal guardian's authorization.
3. Purposes
- Answering questions and quote requests.
- Preparing, delivering and following up on contracted services (communication, brand strategy, content or Spanish classes).
- Managing the client private area: sign-in and service-related email notices and reminders.
- Issuing invoices and meeting legal, accounting and tax obligations.
- Protecting the security of the website and the private area.
Your data is never sold, never shared with third parties for commercial purposes and never used to send advertising without your prior, express consent.
4. Authorization
By writing on your own initiative through any of the contact channels, you authorize the processing of the data you share for the purposes in this policy, under Article 7 of Decree 1377 of 2013 (unequivocal conduct). Clients of the private area give their authorization when they receive their access. You may withdraw your authorization at any time, except where there is a legal or contractual duty to keep the data.
5. Processors and transfers
We rely on providers that act as processors or as independent controllers:
- Hostinger (web hosting and the panel's outgoing email). Its servers may be located outside Colombia, which involves an international transmission of data to a provider that is contractually committed to protecting it.
- Google (Gmail), Meta (WhatsApp and Instagram) and Preply: when you write or book classes through those channels, those companies process your data under their own privacy policies.
Data is only disclosed to authorities when required by law or a court order.
6. Your rights
Under Article 8 of Law 1581 of 2012, you have the right to:
- Access, update and correct your personal data.
- Request proof of the authorization you gave.
- Be informed, on request, of how your data has been used.
- File complaints with Colombia's Superintendence of Industry and Commerce (SIC), after completing the inquiry or claim process with the controller.
- Withdraw your authorization and request deletion of your data when there is no legal or contractual duty to keep it.
- Access your personal data free of charge.
7. How to exercise your rights
Send your request to rodriguezmiguelina12@gmail.com with your name, a way to reply to you, a description of your request and, if applicable, supporting documents.
- Inquiries are answered within ten (10) business days of receipt. If that is not possible, you will be told why and given a new date, no more than five (5) additional business days later.
- Claims (correction, update, deletion or non-compliance) are answered within fifteen (15) business days from the day after receipt, extendable by up to eight (8) more business days with prior notice. If a claim is incomplete, you will be asked to complete it within five (5) days. If two (2) months pass without your reply, the claim will be considered withdrawn.
8. Retention and security
Contact messages are kept for as long as the relationship lasts or for a reasonable time to handle your inquiry. Client data is kept during the service and for as long as accounting and tax rules require. Technical server logs are kept for the period set by the hosting provider, usually a few days or weeks.
We apply reasonable security measures: encrypted connection (HTTPS), passwords stored with one-way encryption, protection against common attacks, restricted access to the private area and backups.
9. Changes to this policy
Any material change will be published on this page with its new effective date. If the change affects clients of the private area, they will be notified by email before it applies.
